Jamaica Olympic Trials 2016 : Bolt wins 100 m Heat

Rio Olympics 2016 season is upon us as today the Jamaican athletes are competing in Kingston for the prestigious National team spots for Rio. Tomorrow July 1 through July 10 ,the USA athletes convene in Eugene, OR to likewise select theirRio representatives. In 4 qualifying 100 metres heats Asafa Powell, Yohan Blake  and Usain Bolt moved forward to the Semi-Finals . Bolt won in 10.15 seconds seemingly not happy . Just last week I caught wind of an off-track controversy around the Olympic and World Champion and record holder in 100 and 200 metres.

Seems in response to neighbors of his wealthy Kingston community criticising the flamboyant’s party lifestyle, Bolt held media interviews raising the matter of race and class in Jamaica. Jamaican music celebrity neighbors and spouses popped up in this unfortunate drama. The endorsement rich sprinter has indicated this is his final Olympics season. Mr.Bolt has shown mental fortitude over these past 9 stellar years. As a fan I trust our champion will ignore this un-necessary distraction . We know that at the top athletics level, all things being equal , it is all mental. To be continued.
